WEB SITE PROMOTIONS

A small one-time investment, and you can swap links with other websites using your very own web ad.  These can be static or animated, as shown.

Web ads come in standardized sizes these days: banner, tower or button ads.

Your online ads can contain a link back to your website. They can also be used in print advertising.

If you prefer, you can have stylized Button Ads, such as this one:

Button Ads are affordable and attract attention.

AFTER YOU HAVE A WEBSITE, HOW WILL PEOPLE FIND YOU?

"Promotions" is an important adjunct to my web design services.  If you are interested in having me promote your site in any of the ways mentioned below, please let me know. This is an important investment if you are running a business, or need the exposure.  Here are the obvious and easy steps.

  1. Optimize your site for good search engine ranking.  This is included in my basic package.  I can also:
  2. Submit your site to search engines.   However, relying solely on Search Engine searches for people to find your website is a mistake.
  3. List you on the various online "listing services".   This is the new internet trend for businesses with lots of competition.  For example, if someone needs a caterer in Chicago, they might do a search for Caterers+Chicago.  Up will pop a whole page of listing services, before any private caterer's website shows up.  You may pay an annual fee for these listings (some are free), but it is worth it for the exposure you get.
  4. Purchase "pay-per-click" or "sponsored results" advertising.  This is becoming less popular, because a lot of internet users resent it and ignore it.
  5. Develop web ads and swap them with your clients, friends, and/or other business sites (sizes can vary): Click on an ad to inquire about pricing for that style of ad.

The ads shown here are small in size and not expensive,
but convey a lot of information.
Well placed, they bring visitors to your website.

    You should also:

    1. Tell your friends, family and co-workers.
    2. Make sure your web address is on your business card, stationery, flyers, product labels, and brochures.
    3. Append your web address to the bottom of your emails.
    4. If you advertise in the yellow pages or in print media, be sure to mention your web address.
